Nvidia to provide new variant of Fortnite Counterattack set

Nvidia is running a joint-promotion with Epic Games to drive sales for their GeForce GTX line of graphic cards. Mistakenly, some of the promotional Fortnite were sold in the Item Shop.

Nvidia’s GTX Fortnite promotion is an ongoing sales campaign which lets players receive exclusive Fortnite gear when they purchase GTX cards. The promotion went live last November and is still running today.

The promotion’s Fortnite reward is the Counterattack set of items:

  • Reflex Outfit
  • Pivot Glider
  • Angular Axe Pickaxe
  • Response Unit Back Bling
  • 2000 V-Bucks

The set of items is quite a good value when you consider the overall price of the GTX cards. Each item was supposed to be an exclusive to this promotion, but Epic Games admits they messed up on that front.

They sold the Reflex Outfit and the Back Bling on the Fortnite Item Shop when they were supposed to remain exclusive to the Nvidia bundle.

As such Epic Games, through a support reply, have confirmed that the Nvidia bundle owners will receive a new exclusive variant of the skin/back bling.

No additional information has been released about the colors or features of the variant. The reply does say, however, that details will be provided in-game once they are available. We will provide you with those details as soon as they release.

The Angular Axe and Pivot Glider were never sold on the Item Shop and remain exclusive to the bundle. These items will also receive a new variant according the description in the reply.

The current GTX offer which includes the Fortnite Counterattack Bundle includes the follow GTX graphics cards, in case you are interested in an upgrade: GTX 1070 Ti, 1070, 1060, 1050 Ti, and 1050.
