Apex Legends may be one of the most popular games in the world right now, but Twitch’s biggest star, Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has revealed that it’s unlikely he will be streaming the game in the near future.
Since its launch back on February 4, Apex Legends has seen incredible growth, reaching 50 million total players just a month after its release.
Many fans of the game are excited for the game’s first season, which kicks off on Tuesday, March 19, with brand new content coming in the form of the game’s Battle Pass. While a large number of players will excitedly hop on to get their hands on the new cosmetic items, it appears Ninja will not be one of them.
While Ninja was allegedly paid $1 million to play Apex Legends on it’s release, the streamer has revealed that his focus will be mainly on one of Respawn’s biggest battle royale rivals, Fortnite.
Blevins has long been considered to be the face of Fortnite, and while the streamer has made a name for himself from his hilarious streams, he also aims to be a star in it’s competitive community too.
When asked by a viewer if he would be switching to Apex on his Monday, March 18 stream, Ninja stated: “I won’t be going to Apex Legends, man. I’m going to be focusing on the Fortnite World Cup.”
Ninja has been practising on Fortnite with an aim to compete in the upcoming $30 million World Cup Finals, which take place in New York City on July 26 to 28.
Blevins hopes to earn a spot at the major tournament, with the qualification process kicking off on April 13.
