Fortnite’s Season 8, Week 7 Challenges and How to Complete Them

Published

on

Fortnite: Battle Royale players are set to unlock a new set of weekly challenges today for season eight. All players will get three new challenges for week seven, while those who own the paid season eight Battle Pass will get four additional ones.

Players can finish off these challenges in any standard or Limited Time mode starting today, including competitive modes like Arena and big-team modes with respawning enabled like Team Rumble. Playground is the only mode that won’t allow you to progress.

Week seven challenges will task players with doing simple tasks, unlike previous weeks when they had to visit several locations that they wouldn’t otherwise. It’s likely that those who don’t care about weekly challenges will complete some of them anyway after a few matches.

Check out the full list of season eight, week seven challenges below. We’ve put a few tips on how to complete them after the tables.

Free challenges

Challenges Rewards
Deal damage with a Pickaxe to opponents (100)5 Battle Stars
Stage 1: Visit Junk Junction and The Block in a single match
Stage 2: Visit Pleasant Park and Dusty Divot in a single match
Final Stage: Visit Happy Hamlet and Snobby Shores in a single match
5 Battle Stars
Visit Pirate Camps in a single match (3)10 Battle Stars

Battle Pass Challenges

Challenges Rewards
Deal damage to players from above (500)5 Battle Stars
Search chests at Loot Lake or Snobby Shores (7)5 Battle Stars
Stage 1: Deal damage to opposing players while riding a zipline (1)
Stage 2: Deal damage to opposing players who are riding a zipline (1)
10 Battle Stars
Eliminate opponents in different Named Locations (5)10 Battle Stars

The only ones that might be a bit confusing are the zipline and the dealing damage from above challenges.

Deal 100 damage with a Pickaxe to opponents [5 Battle Stars]

Fortnite players will need to ditch their weapons for this challenge, as damage must be dealt with a pickaxe to earn the five Battle Stars reward.

The easiest way to complete this challenge is to either land right beside someone at the start of the match and hit them when they have no gun, or knock someone in a duos or squads match, and use the Pickaxe to eliminate them.

Stage 1: Visit Junk Junction and The Block in a single match [1 Battle Star]

Fairly straightforward, players will need to visit a number of named locations in a single match to complete this challenge.

Thankfully, most of the locations are fairly close together, meaning you won’t have to traverse from one corner of the map to the other to finish this challenge.

The stages are:

  1. Visit Junk Junction and The Block in a single match [1 Battle Star]
  2. Visit Pleasant Park and Dusty Divot in a single match [2 Battle Stars]
  3. Visit Happy Hamlet and Snobby Shores in a single match [2 Battle Stars]

Visit 3 Pirate Camps in a single match [10 Battle Stars]

Pirate Camps are back in the Fortnite weekly challenges, with three visits to different outposts required to complete this challenge.

The Pirate Camps are spread out across the map, so aiming for three which are relatively close together is the quickest way to complete this challenge. All three must be visited in a single match, so if you’re eliminated before you make it to the third and final Camp, you’ll have to start over in the next match.

Pirate Camp Locations.

Deal 500 damage to players from above [5 Battle Stars]

Pain will be raining down on opponents, as you deal damage to players from above them. The easiest way to complete this challenge is to build above opponents when in gunfights, or sit on elevated positions like towers and hills and fire down at your enemies.

Search Chests at Loot Lake or Snobby Shores [5 Battle Stars]

Another simple challenge, players will need to open seven chests at either of these locations to complete this one. While both areas have plenty of chests, it’s likely that both locations will be much busier than they were previously, so prepare for enemies to appear and try to take you down.

Stage 1: Deal damage to opposing players while riding a Zipline [5 Battle Stars]

The second staged challenge of the week, Fortnite fans must deal damage to players while riding a Zipline to complete the first stage. Then, they will need to keep an eye out for opponents who are utilizing a Zipline themselves, and deal damage to them.

  1. Deal damage to opposing players while riding a Zipline.
  2. Deal damage to opposing players who are riding a Zipline.

Eliminate five opponents in different named locations [10 Battle Stars]

Fortnite fans will have to take out five enemy players in named locations. These are any places on the Fortnite map that have a name, so head towards spots like Tilted Towers or Pleasant Park to find opponents you can eliminate to earn 10 Battle Stars.

Other than that, make sure to grab vehicles such as The Baller or Driftboards to move along the Fortnite island efficiently for the challenges in which you have to visit several locations.

After you’re done with this set, if you’ve completed all previous weekly challenges, you’ll be able to find this week’s secret Banner.

Chapter 3 Season 2 Live Event: Everything we know so far

Published

By

The first live event of Chapter 3 is expected to take place in less than six weeks. Here’s everything we know so far, based on various leaks.

Leaked Map Stages

All future stages for the territories controlled by both The Seven and Imagined Order have been leaked by data-miner Hypex. The maps show the Resistance will retake control of most of the Island, leaving only Command Cavern and Loot Lake for the IO. The final stage will lead the story directly into a live event, with the Imagined Order having little options left for victory.

Leaked Quest Voice Line

Epic also recently added new voice lines for the upcoming Week 6 Quests which, when reviewed closely, appear to tease the main story of a new live event. The Agent Jones character claims “one of the IO’s Doomsday devices is now in production”, seemingly hinting that the new event could be related to Chapter 2 Season 2’s The Device, which was also focused around a “Doomsday Device”.

A transcript of the Agent Jones voice lines can be found below:

“This will not come as a surprise, but IO management loves Doomsday machines – loves them! There’s even a doomsday division at HQ, oh man their softball team is awful but they will one day destroy us all so… kind of a wash. We have very credible intel that one of the IO’s Doomsday devices is now in production. We need to find out everything we can while we still can. Hit the field, I’ll prep the cameras . . . I have a very bad feeling that we are not ready for what we’re gonna find out.”

Doomsday Landmark

According to Fortnite data-miner GMatrixGames, a new Landmark code-named ‘DDMachine’ has been added to the game’s tags, suggesting that the Doomsday Device described by Agent Jones could be added to the map in the future.

Less than six weeks remain until the potential live event. We’ll keep you updated with the latest leaks and official announcements.

In preparation for the upcoming item vote, the Boogie Bomb and Rift-To-Go have both been unvaulted for a trial period until April 25.

Players can now find the items scattered throughout the Island from Chests, Llamas, Supply Drops, Loot Sharks and ground loot. Once the short trial period ends on April 25 at 8AM ET, new gold funding stations will go live in-game on the following day to let players “fund” the item they want to see return permanently (for the rest of Season 2). The item that becomes 100% funded first will automatically be reintroduced to the loot pool as soon as the goal, of which the exact value is unknown, is reached.

We’ll keep you updated on which item gets unvaulted.
