Visit all Pirate Camps

Pirates have taken over seven abandoned locations across the map. Visit all seven to complete this challenge. You’ll know it’s a pirate camp by flag with the white kraken along with the shoddy wooden infrastructure. Use our map and our list of locations to help you find them all:

  • To the west of the water at Lazy Lagoon.
  • At the southwest section of the base of the volcano.
  • The abandoned house southwest of Pleasant Park.
  • In the snow biome, northeast of the old Greasy Grove (frozen lake).
  • On top of the hill southwest of Salty Springs.
  • At the bridge connecting the desert biome to the normal map, south of Retail Row.
  • The abandoned house between Loot Lake and Dusty Divot.

Search Chests at Retail Row or Junk Junction

Search seven chests in either Retail Row or Junk Junction. Pick your preferred location and pop open all your chests there. Once you start a match, try landing at the location furthest from the battle bus path to minimize the amount of players you run into.

Junk Junction is on the edge of the map and thus will likely have fewer enemies. The downside is Retail Row features more buildings and therefore a greater number of chests. If your main focus is opening chests, try opting to go to Junk Junction.

Deal Damage with a Shotgun and an Explosive Weapon in a single match

Deal 300 damage using both a shotgun and explosive weapon in a single match. That means focus on getting either a Grenade Launcher or Rocket Launcher first, then worry about a shotgun. Explosive weapons are a lot more nowadays so you may want to find a vending machine that will sell you one. A list of weapons that will count for this challenge:

  • Pump Shotgun
  • Tactical Shotgun
  • Rocket Launcher
  • Grenade Launcher

Battle Pass Challenges

Visit a giant face in the desert, the jungle, and the snow

There are three giant rock faces sticking out of the sides of mountains and hills. There is one in each major biome and you simply need to visit each one in no particular order. All three are located on hills near the edge of the map.

The giant face in the jungle can be found east of Sunny Steps.

The giant face in the snow biome can be found south of the industrial area with the dance club.

The giant face in the desert can be found at the tall mountain near the unnamed town east of the gas station.

Use a Volcano Vent in different matches

Volcano Vents are small holes in the ground that push out strong winds upward. Run over one to not only propell yourself in the air to glide to your next location, but to also add to this challenge. Your job is to use one in five different matches. You can find them scattered around the volcano. Use the same vent in different matches if you have to!

Get an elimination with a Shotgun, Assault Rifle, and Explosive Weapon

Get one elimination with a shotgun, one elimination with an assault rifle, and one elimination with an explosive weapon. A list of weapons that will count for this challenge:

  • Pump Shotgun
  • Tactical Shotgun
  • Assault Rifle
  • Suppressed Assault Rifle
  • Thermal Scoped Assault Rifle
  • Heavy Assault Rifle
  • Scoped Assault Rifle
  • Rocket Launcher
  • Grenade Launcher

Deal Damage to a vehicle driven by an opponent

Sounds easy enough! The challenge requires you to deal 200 damage to a vehicle while an enemy is driving it. Remember, you’re aiming for the vehicle, not the person driving!

Having trouble finding a vehicle to attack? Try waiting around popular vehicle spots like the Quadcrashers southwest of Salty Springs or the Driftboards northeast of Dusty Divot.

Chapter 3 Season 2 Live Event: Everything we know so far

The first live event of Chapter 3 is expected to take place in less than six weeks. Here’s everything we know so far, based on various leaks.

Leaked Map Stages

All future stages for the territories controlled by both The Seven and Imagined Order have been leaked by data-miner Hypex. The maps show the Resistance will retake control of most of the Island, leaving only Command Cavern and Loot Lake for the IO. The final stage will lead the story directly into a live event, with the Imagined Order having little options left for victory.

Leaked Quest Voice Line

Epic also recently added new voice lines for the upcoming Week 6 Quests which, when reviewed closely, appear to tease the main story of a new live event. The Agent Jones character claims “one of the IO’s Doomsday devices is now in production”, seemingly hinting that the new event could be related to Chapter 2 Season 2’s The Device, which was also focused around a “Doomsday Device”.

A transcript of the Agent Jones voice lines can be found below:

“This will not come as a surprise, but IO management loves Doomsday machines – loves them! There’s even a doomsday division at HQ, oh man their softball team is awful but they will one day destroy us all so… kind of a wash. We have very credible intel that one of the IO’s Doomsday devices is now in production. We need to find out everything we can while we still can. Hit the field, I’ll prep the cameras . . . I have a very bad feeling that we are not ready for what we’re gonna find out.”

Doomsday Landmark

According to Fortnite data-miner GMatrixGames, a new Landmark code-named ‘DDMachine’ has been added to the game’s tags, suggesting that the Doomsday Device described by Agent Jones could be added to the map in the future.

Less than six weeks remain until the potential live event. We’ll keep you updated with the latest leaks and official announcements.

Boogie Bomb and Rift-To-Go Unvaulted Until April 25

In preparation for the upcoming item vote, the Boogie Bomb and Rift-To-Go have both been unvaulted for a trial period until April 25.

Players can now find the items scattered throughout the Island from Chests, Llamas, Supply Drops, Loot Sharks and ground loot. Once the short trial period ends on April 25 at 8AM ET, new gold funding stations will go live in-game on the following day to let players “fund” the item they want to see return permanently (for the rest of Season 2). The item that becomes 100% funded first will automatically be reintroduced to the loot pool as soon as the goal, of which the exact value is unknown, is reached.

We’ll keep you updated on which item gets unvaulted.
