Fortnite Overtime Challenges – Campfire Locations and Waterfalls Map

Overtime Challenges are a new set of challenges designed to help players complete their Battle Pass for Season 7. Released alongside the v7.40 patch on February 14, the 20 different challenges offer additional XP, a few new rewards, new styles for existing Season 7 outfits, and the ability to unlock the upcoming Season 8 Battle Pass for free.

That’s right! Completing 13 challenges will get you the Season 8 Battle Pass free of charge when it’s released later this month. Take note, four of the twenty challenges act as milestones as you complete a certain amount challenges, so you really have to complete 13 of the 16 to unlock the next Battle Pass.

The Share the Love event concludes on February 27 just in time for the new season. The same goes for the Overtime Challenges, but some challenges won’t unlock until a few days have gone by. See a list of all the Fortnite Season 7 Challenges here.

Collect Coins in Featured Creative Islands

Enter Fortnite Creative and enter the main server. Your job is to visit any of the four featured islands and collect 15 hidden coins. You do not need to collect all 15 coins in one island, not that you can since each island can only have 10. Keep visiting the featured islands until you find 15. Featured islands are currently changing daily!

Place Top 15 in Duos with a friend

Be one of the last 15 teams standing in Duos, but you must be partnered with a friend from your friends list. Looking for a friend? Try playing a few matches and sending a friend request to any teammates you had a good time playing with. You can leave your username here in the comments!

Regain health from a campfire in different matches

Campfires found out in the open can now be used to heal like a normal Cozy Campfire! Find one in the wild and use it in three different matches. Make sure you need to be healed, using it at full health will not work. If you need to, build a ramp and jump off to deal some damage.

Visit different Named Locations

Landing in ten different named locations. As you play ten matches, keep track of all the places you land and don’t repeat any locations. Here’s a list of all current locations:

  • Junk Junction
  • Haunted Hills
  • Pleasant Park
  • Snobby Shores
  • Tilted Towers
  • Shifty Shafts
  • Dusty Divot
  • Salty Springs
  • Fatal Fields
  • Wailing Woods
  • Lonely Lodge
  • Retail Row
  • Lucky Landing
  • The Block
  • Lazy Links
  • Paradise Palms
  • Tomato Temple
  • Loot Lake
  • Polar Peak
  • Frosty Flights
  • Happy Hamlet

Search a Supply Drop in different matches

Locate and open a supply drop in two different matches. These special crates drop from the sky, parachuting down on a big yellow balloon. Listen up for a sound notification every time a supply crate appears.

In a hurry and don’t mind making a little noise? Shoot at the balloon and deplete its HP to have it immediately drop from the sky. Make sure to open the crate to add it to your total.

When searching supply drops, it’s best that you build around them to protect yourself from enemy fire. Most users will try to bait you into opening the supply drop so that they can kill you, and steal your loot.

Revive a player in different matches

Be a pal and revive a teammate in three different matches. That means no going into Solos for this one! Hop into one of the larger team LTMs where anyone on your team, not just your squad, can be revived.

Visit different waterfalls

Have you ever taken note of the many waterfalls in Fortnite? Well, now you have a reason to because your job is to find and visit seven waterfalls. Not in the same match, you can visit any as long as they are all different.

So, where are the waterfalls located? There are several waterfalls scattered about the map but going to Loot Lake is by far your best option. There you can visit the three waterfalls, all of which will count separately, then you can go south of the lake for a fourth waterfall that spills into the river. From there pick any of the remaining waterfalls to find the last three. Use our map to find them all!

Deal damage to opponents with Shotguns or SMGs

Deal 500 damage to enemies using Shotguns or SMGs. Here’s a list of all the weapons that will count towards this challenge:

  • Pump Shotgun
  • Tactical Shotgun
  • Compact SMG
  • Suppressed Submachine Gun

Search chests or ammo boxes at The Block

The Block changes often but you’ll always be able to find a decent amount of chests and ammo boxes. For those unfamiliar, The Block is an area in the top right corner of the map where user created islands from Fortnite Creative are featured in Battle Royale. Lots of people are landing here just for this challenge, so land early and spot a chest or ammo box before you even hit the ground!

Place Top 10 in Squads with a friend

Be one of the last 10 teams standing in Squads, but you must be partnered with a friend from your friends list. Looking for a friend? Try playing a few matches and sending a friend request to any teammates you had a good time playing with. You can leave your username here in the comments!

This will still count if you play a Squad based LTM but it won’t work in modes with larger teams.

Play matches of Driftin’ with a friend

Grab a friend and get in on some matches of Driftin’! This challenge can be completed by simply getting into a squad with friends and playing the Driftin’ LTM together. If you have another account on another platform, you could also login and join the game together.

Thank the Bus Driver in different matches

This challenge requires players to thank the bus driver in seven different matches. This is a special challenge we’ve seen before, during the free holiday challenges (the 14 days of Fortnite) though that time you had to thank the bus driver in eleven different matches, so this is a tiny bit easier.

In any case, many people probably don’t even know what that means or how to do it, hence this guide. It’s fairly simple, actually, the real trick is remembering to do it before you leave the Battle Bus. Here’s how to thank the bus driver on every platform:

  • On PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch simply press down on the D-Pad while in the Battle Bus. That’s the lower button on the left side of your controller. You’ll see your gamertag pop up on the screen followed by “thanked the bus driver.” He never says “You’re welcome” but we know he (or she) appreciates it.
  • On mobile, you’ll see an icon while riding in the bus. Tap it to thank the bus driver.
  • On PC simply press the “B” key.

Search chests or ammo boxes at a racetrack or a dance club

This one, like the one from the first set of challenges, asks you to open ammo boxes or chests in given locations, making it a little more forgiving than those challenges that only count chests. This time we’re heading to a race track and a dance club, two longstanding Fortnite locations that have yet to be promoted to points of interest. Read on for a map, guide and location for where to go.

The two locations are fairly far from each other, so there shouldn’t be much overlap. Here’s where they are on the map:

Outlive 75 opponents in a single match

Survival is key in completing this challenge. You’ll need to outlive 75 opponents in a single match for you to be able to clear this challenge and get the rewards! Solos will be the best mode to complete this, it might be worth hiding to obtain this challenge if you are having trouble.

Future Challenges

Four of the challenges task you with simply completing different amounts of Overtime Challenges:

  • Complete 5 Free Overtime Challenges (Powder Outfit Style)
  • Complete 10 Free Overtime Challenges (Trog Outfit Style)
  • Complete 13 Free Overtime Challenges (Free S8 Battle Pass)
  • Complete 15 Free Overtime Challenges (Onsie Outfit Style)
