‘Fortnite’ Fortbyte #36 Guide And Map: Accessible By Sentinel On A Frozen Island

There’s a new system in town for Fortnite’s Season 9 battle pass. We now have Fortbytes, 100 little tokens that you have to collect over the course of the season in order to decrypt some sort of image and unlock the challenge skin.

They appear to have all sorts of different qualifications: some are awarded for achieving various milestones like a certain number of top 10 placements or a certain amount of experience gained, and others are found on the map in special circumstances. One of the first of these is Fortbyte 36, which you’re told is “Accessible By Sentinel On A Frozen Island.” Read on for a map, guide and location.

There are only two frozen islands on Fortnite’s map: technically the whole thing is an island, of course, but you’re looking for smaller islands, naturally. You can see both in the Southwestern ice biome, but you’re looking for the smaller, more accessible one:

The island is remote, but the new slipstreams make it incredibly easy to navigate the island, so don’t worry about this too much: you’ve also got some ziplines to get you off in a jiff. The fortbyte itself is to the south, near the edge. Here’s what it looks like on the ground:
