Everything we know about the possible Fortnite Battle Royale John Wick event

Fortnite Battle Royale season 9 dropped on May 9, and subtle hints have been lingering around that lead us to believe there will be a John Wick event. Here is everything we know!

John Wick was featured in Fortnite as the Season 3 exclusive Reaper skin. Since then the skin has never been made available on the Item Shop, and no hint has been made of Reaper ever returning… until Season 9.

We have collected everything we know about the rumored John Wick event and dropped it into an article for you!

Paradise Palms house

Season 9 saw a ton of new changes to the Fortnite Battle Royale map including Neo Tilted, Mega Mall, and a subtle hint down south at Paradise Palms.

On May 9, the house on the eastern side of Paradise Palms was updated to be a replica of John Wick’s house. This was the first official hint that John Wick could be making an appearance in Fortnite once again.

Leaks and mines

Every new patch delivers loads of in-game files that leakers go through to find potential hints about upcoming content. On May 9, popular Fortnite leaker FortTory announced that Epic Games would be bringing a new LTM titled “Wick’s Bounty” and will include six challenges.

  • Win 1 match of Wick’s Bounty
  • Play 7 matches of Wick’s Bounty
  • Collect 150 Gold Coins
  • Collect 25 Gold Coins in a single match
  • Deal 500 damage with the Combat Shotgun
  • Deal 500 damage with the Tactical Assault Rifle

Wick’s Bounty LTM will have players fighting to secure golden coins from fallen enemies, similar to Call of Duty’s Kill Confirmed.

TV static

On May 13 the TVs around Fortnite started to randomly play a pattern that showed a llama with ‘x’ marks on its eyes.

Even though this pattern could be used for the upcoming audio test, we think it could be hinting towards something more. The TVs around Fortnite would display different warning graphics and patterns whenever an in-game event was approaching, like the meteor crash in season 4.

We won’t know if or when the rumored John Wick challenges will be dropping since Epic does not comment on rumors or leaks. Downtime for patch v9.01 begins on May 15 at 4 am ET, so maybe the event will begin on Wednesday?
